Facebook Account Security - Enabling Two Factor Authentication

Just like LinkedIn and Twitter, Facebook is committed to protecting user account information and has recently introduced a new Two Factor Authentication feature — Login Approvals. This is an opt-in feature that requires users to enter a code Facebook sends to their mobile phones via text message whenever a login attempt is made on a new or unrecognized computer. This added security feature makes it even harder for hackers to access your Facebook account.

Code Generator is another security featured integrated into the Facebook mobile app. Once turned on, the Code Generator will create unique login codes every 30 seconds. If users have Login Approvals enabled, but hate waiting for Facebook to send them text messages every time they login on a new computer, the Code Generator can provide access codes right away.
