Social Media Minute Podcast by RegEd: Google Reader Retired - Now What!?

Arghh! That was our reaction when Google announced the death knell for Reader as of July 1, 2013. We have literally dozens and dozens of RSS feeds aggregated in Reader, which is then used to power our research and apps like Zite and Flipboard.

However, Google does not equal RSS. It simply had the best approach, which included taking on all the overhead and infrastructure for gathering millions of feeds for individuals and building a free tool which could track and allowed sharing of content.

All is not lost - there are options for software based on Windows PCs and Macs, as well as web-based tools and apps for Apple and Android-based devices. What choices do you have? See the links below.
